The best time i ever had at a festival was at Doyle's Fest in Denton NC i had just bought my Chestnut mandolin and i gave it a 4 day workout after the shows were over. Russell Moore Ray Deaton and Scott Vestal had just joined Doyle's Band and they had a Country Gentlemen Reunion with Charlie, Doyle, Bill emerson and Bill Yates . they also had a Jimmy Martin Reunion with JD Crowe,Paul Williams and Bill Yates (not to mention THE BLUEGRASS ALBUM BAND)i'm gettin excited just talkin bout it . Listening to them in the day and picking all nite was almost more than one man can handle
